Siberian Husky - Sherratt & Simpson
Sherratt & Simpson (2005) Siberian Husky # SM89133
6" wide (at base) x 6"H
Was saving this one to repaint to a more traditional (black & white) husky colour, but I never got around to it.
He is MIB
Sherratt & Simpson is based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, and created the original design and mould from which this sculpture is made. They produced a large line of highly detailed, high quality, hand painted cold cast resin figurines of cats, dogs, mice and other wildlife.
S & S ceased operations in August 2001.
In October 2001 Country Artists, located in the historic Stratford-upon-Avon, England, acquired all of the Sherratt & Simpson moulds and set about to re-introduce the product line to the collecting public. Some products still continue to carry the Sherratt & Simpson name. Previous owners Mick Simpson (sculptor) and Geoff Sherratt (marketer) said that they look forward to working with Country Artists.
Some of the Sherratt & Simpson line is "Distributed by Coyne's & Co., USA" (Minneapolis, Minnesota) - as is this one. This change in distribution caused a re-numbering of the product line. Boxes still carry the Sherratt & Simpson logo, with the "Distributed by Coyne's & Co., USA" sticker on the bottom of the box. In addition the sticker on the box says:
